ITS ARCADEMY IS DEMOCRATIC

Melanie Lewiston, UK
Finalist, ITS 2016 – Accessories

A memento is more than just an object that serves to remind one of a person or past event. Melanie worked with what remains of a loved one: skin, hair and the most intimate symbol of memento mori, the death mask. She represented disparate memories of her mother Iris, to whom the collection was dedicated.
